Great songs but FUTURE ruins “Cold”
Future really had to ruin the great song “cold”, he can’t rap, he can’t sing, and he doesn’t even have flow so in the song he sounds awful and just makes it TERRIBLE!! But the album itself is AMAZING and the song “cold” could be great without stupid FUTURE!!!!
If you thought it couldn’t get any worse...
Maroon 5 was always one of my favorite bands. I didn’t mind them going into more poppy music- though much pop is complete trash I had hope maroon 5 would transition into pop well but still retained some of their signature blues/rock sound. I was wrong. This album is TERRIBLE. Adam levine is an auto tuned cringe-fest, the lyrics are dumb and boring, every song sounds the same, the special guests are equally terrible, and basically no instruments are used. If you want good pop music that’s made by talented musicians I recommend Bruno mars, harry styles and sia. Well, at least I have maroon 5’s first three great albums to listen too..
I like it

Sounds pretty good
Great Maroon 5 album, so why is everyone hating on it?
Red Pill Blues isn’t Maroon 5’s best work, but it doesn’t have to be. I do enjoy the more relaxed, collected tone of this album(an aspect of music that has made V my favorite maroon 5 album, THAT’S RIGHT). Adam Levine’s voice also seems to be a lot more relaxed when compared to Maroon 5’s other albums. The collection of songs here are very simple and fun to listen to. The only problem I have with this album is its lack of instruments, but I don’t mind the absence of them here, as I feel that the electronic sounds go very well with the tone of this album.
Now, to address all of the people who DON’T like this album...
I get it if you prefer to have instruments in your song, rather than not having any. That’s cool, but if an album doesn’t have many instruments(or no instruments at all, for that matter), does it really deserve one stars like a lot of people give it? Does that really overshadow everything else in a song? Because I’m willing to bet that the people at Maroon 5 did a lot more work composing these songs than YOU did writing your angry review about how “It’s not songs about Jane, so therefore it’s terrible”. Think about that, and maybe you can edit your review right after you do that. I get that music is based on preference, but I feel like some people are either basing there review on one main thing(like, for an example, if it isn’t V), or are just using the iTunes Store to listen to them for a few seconds, then giving it a 1 star review to fit in with “the cool kids”.
Overall, I really enjoyed listening to Red Pill Blues, and I look forward to listening to it more in the future.
Maroon 5, giving whole new meaning to the term "sellout" since 2007.

Maroon 5 keeps evolving. The production sounds clean and refreshing.
IN LOVE 😍
Absolutely one of the best albums from Maroon 5

I know you cannot compare New work to the old, but something different. I don’t feel the band. They’re Megastars and I’m always searching for that hunger from the first album. But I will open my mind and listen to it. Just gotta say first album was iconic!!! Soundtrack to my life...
Maroon 5? Adam Only!
This is just Adam with auto tuning and techno music... where is “Songs about Jane” Maroon 5 with the band! This stuff is just like everything else! Could make better sounding beats in my phone!
Adam Levine solo album
Seven members (plus something like fifteen other co-writers and producers) and they still can’t even sound like a band... they should just call it what it is and abandon the maroon 5 moniker if this is what they’re gonna churn out. I’m all for a band branching out and trying new things (no one likes an artist who doesn’t), but in this case the direction they’ve chosen isn’t interesting at all. Positives: What Lovers Do is a pretty good track, and congrats to Sam Farrar on becoming an official member.
