  • Meh....

Natural slams, but all the other songs on the album kind of sound like second-hand Coldplay. I miss the uniqueness of Smoke and Mirrors and Evolve! This album kinda works for working when you need music in the background and lyrics/individual sound don’t matter. The songs start to blend together and sound the same, with the exception of Natural.
  • Every single song is amazing!

The band has exceeded my expectations again with this wonderful music. Each song in the album stands out and has its own style. And I love the drummer! After listening to these songs, I am on the verge of buying a drum set!

  • Not the best Imagine Dragons album, but still great music

This album is good, but the first four they released (Natural, Zero, Machine, and Bad Liar), were obviously the best four. However, if you have an hour, just to all 15 songs consecutively, and you’ll see that there’s a lot of good music in this album. Imagine Dragons always delivers, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

These songs in there new album are some of the best songs I have heard from them and I like that they touch subjects in some of there songs that happen in today’s society.

I get why people have not been satisfied with this album. I mean when I first listened to it I did not enjoy it as much, the new type of music is very......weird from all the other songs they’ve written. But the more I listened to it the more I began to enjoy the music. For one “Evolve” was about change, about going fourth in life with the life lessons you’ve learned and beginning to make yourself better. That is why their music sounded different from “Smoke and Mirrors” as well as “Night visions” I mean the names itself said what it was about. You cannot expect an artist/band to make the exact same type of music forever or else they get old and don’t get to change for new experimental types of music. That’s why I found evolve to be a good album. People need to listen to the meaning of the song and the reasoning behind the lyrics not just the way it sounds. I’ve found that a lot of their music has a moral message behind it if you listen harder. And this album is a love album yes, but that’s what he is trying to convey. That the world needs more love. Also that not all love is the same but should still be respected and accepted. This album is also not directly about a guy going for a girl, the steps and real events that occur with it. Sometimes love doesn’t work out and that’s what “Cool Out” is about. Bad liar symbolizes the bad parts of it as well as when someone loses their way in a relationship and wishes it could be better. “Love” is about acceptance of all people no matter what, he also points out problems happening in the world with shootings, harassment, and protests. All he wants is for all people to love everyone. And if your excuse is that Imagine Dragons are drifting away from morals or changing too much “Bullet in a Gun” talks about artists start to lose their morals in the long run because the become corrupted with the need for money and fame. “SELLOUT SELLOUT SELLOUT” in the song is a metaphor for how artist look at the number of albums that were sold and just want people to buy it. I don’t know🤷🏽‍♂️ I mean the music took a while for me to sink in but I love this album like all the others.

When I first heard Natural, Zero, and machine I was really excited for the rest of the album, but some of the other songs are just to slow then the rest. I get it, some people like that type of music, but I do not.
