The Zac Brown Band Really Hit Home With This Song And Video For "My Old Man". When I Watched The Video For "My Old Man", Tears Filled My Eyes Because I Lost My Grandpa A Little Over 11 Years Ago & This Song And Video Makes Me Think About Him All These Years Later. My Grandpa Loved To Go Fishing, Work In His Garage And Cook Fish. When I Graduated In 2009, I Mentioned My Grandpa's Name In My Speech And I Did Cry Some Tears Because He Meant The World To Me When I Was Growing Up. Now That I Am An Adult, I Still Think Of My Grandpa Every Day Going Forward. He Will Always Be In My Heart And In My Prayers. I Know He's In Heaven With Jesus, But Grandpa I Just Want You To Know, I Will Always Love You For Everything That You Did For Me All Those Years And I Do Miss You. Love You Grandpa.

I lost my dad 21 years ago when I was in college and this song sums up every man's goal, to live up to your dad's high standards and morals and then pass them on to your kids. Tears every time I listen to this, such a great song.

The words are so poignant. Every time I hear the song I think about how I try to live up to his shadow eventhough he is no longer alive. Now I see my kids and how they look at me and I see myslef looking at my Dad. Thank you Zac, should have been a #1 song on all charts.

I lost my dad 17 long years ago. Tonight I watched Zac's first ten seconds of the video and tears filled my eyes. I miss my old man and I always will. Thanks for your song, Zac!

Wow, another amazing song from Zac! After Loosing my father a few years ago, this song really hits a nerve, but in a good way! Stirs up memories!
